Thoughts:

Well. I'm not usually into harem (unless it's reverseHarem ^///^ ), but I think I'll give it a try for the sake of trying. It looks like one of the very few anime this season that is not a sequel. I don't think this season will be appealing to very many new anime fans.

Thoughts:

I really enjoyed the first season (which I recently finished because I wanted to watch the second season.) the first season was rated an 8 which is good.... so I'm really looking forward to the next one. The kitsune near the end sealed the deal for me. He was absolutly the cutest thing I've ever seen <3

kitsune natsume

How could you say no? He's much cuter in the anime though...

Animation Company: Sony Pictures
Seiyuu: Megumi Toyoguchi, Takaya Kuroda

Summary
The story revolves around the members of a private military company (PMC), and the uneasy tension between them and the regular military after a war that caused massive environmental destruction. (ANN)

Thoughts:

Meh. I'm not much for mecha/military, but I will be watching this if I have time since there's not a lot of new anime coming out. Otherwise.... It's not high on my priority list... I usaually save these anime types for last, or not bother with it at all, but the animation looks good, I hope sony doesn't screw this one up.

HAJIME NO IPPO Pictures, Images and Photos

(again sorry it's so small... I'm having problems. I'll probably fix all the pictures later.)

Since he spends most of his time away from school helping his mother run the family business, he doesn’t get to enjoy his younger years like most teenagers. Always a target for bullying at school (the family fishing business grants him a distinct odor), Ippo’s life is one of hardship.

One of these after-school bullying sessions turns Ippo’s life around for the better, as he is saved by a boxer named Takamura. He decides to follow in Takamura’s footsteps and train to become a boxer, giving his life direction and purpose. Ippo’s path to perfecting his pugilistic prowess is just beginning … (AnimeNfo)

Thoughts:

Well, I've already done a post on hajime no ippo. I'm not a big fan, however, I do enjoy it from time to time. I'm glad there's a new season. I will deffinatly try it out. But seriously, I hope they change the art a style a bit. I realize they are trying to mantain the same art of the manga, but seriously, it's a bit old fashioned. And since I'm newer on the anime scene (or at least that's what I think) I prefer the more modern art. Currently I'm marathoning the show, so we'll see if the end seems like it needs a new season. Though, I'm pretty sure I'll be watching this. For some strange reason though, after watching this show, I always feel the need to play boxing on my wii

Animation Company: Production IG (Ghost in the Shell, xxxHolic ), Transarts (Prince of Tennis, Chocolate Underground)

The story is about a young woman who is drawn into a war between kingdoms. She has the ability to command animals, including dragons, as if she was playing a musical instrument. (AniDB)

thoughts:

Soooooooooo..... I think this has a romance of 3 kingdoms. I will deffeniatly be watching this and is one of the shows I am really looking forward to this season. It's very mysterious though. There aren't a lot of images that I can use to judge on so I'll be watching this for sure unless the first few episodes are so miserable that I can't go through the rest of the show, but that hardly ever happens. We'll see........

Genji Monogatari Sennenki

Details

Number of episodes: 11
Website: http://genji-anime.com/
Japanese Air Date: January
Animation Company: Tezuka Productions (Hi no Tori), Tokyo Movie (Aishiteruze Baby)
Seiyuu:

Summary
Adaptation of Murasaki Shikibu’s classic novel The Tale of Genji. It was originally planned to be an adaptation of Waki Yamato’s shouji manga series Asakiyumemishi ~ The Tale of Genji, but that idea was scrapped by the director. The following is a short plot introduction of the original classic novel:

The work recounts the life of a son of a Japanese emperor, known to readers as Hikaru Genji, or “Shining Genji”. Neither appellation is his actual name: Genji is simply another way to read the Chinese characters for the real-life Minamoto clan, to which Genji was made to belong. For political reasons, Genji is relegated to commoner status (by being given the surname Minamoto) and begins a career as an imperial officer. The tale concentrates on Genji’s romantic life and describes the customs of the aristocratic society of the time. (Wikipedia)

Thoughts:

Does this scream pedo. or is it just me? I will watch it though, because It's such a classic story... I don't really think much of it now, but I want to watch it just because I know of the story, and It'll be interesting to see it animated.

Thoughts:

NO NO NO NONONONONONONONONOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I just can't stand it. This just shows how low society in japan in sinking. PLEASE STOP THIS MADNESS!!!
Not only is it anime anne of green gables (which should never be in the first place) but they are trying to make the art verrrrrrry old fashioned.... or at least that is what they are advertising. I just don't belive this got green lighted in the first place.
Even though I have clearly expressed my dislike of the very idea of this anime, I will probably watch the first episode for the sake of trying. ( and later laughing and gagging)

Thoughts:

hmmm. I never got to finish watching the first season. I think I'll go back watch, seeing as how the first one is LEGAL to watch on funimation stations (youtube, joost, hulu, etc....) I saw the first episode, and I didn't not like it. It wasn't bad. It seemed to lack continuity in the plot, however, I think it might have amounted to something, so I guess I should try it again? I hear it's ok.

(Wikipedia)

Thoughts:

I don't think so. Fourth season? I must have missed the boat on this one, but it just doesn't appeal to me...

Thoughts:

From what I've seen of this.... I like it. I need to finish up the first season so I can start this. I usually don't like sci fi. It's a very dry genre in my oppinion, however this really "brings it to earth". I will watch this, though probably not right away.

Summary
Adaptation of Himaruya Hidekazu’s bishonen comedy web manga.

The “cynical gag” story mainly recounts the era between World War I and World War II, with the stereotypical characteristics of each country or region (particularly northern Italy) anthropomorphized as bishounen. For example, Italia Veneziano is into pasta and women. Deutsch (Germany) loves potatoes and sausages, and Nippon is an otaku boy. Installments of the manga have jumped back and forth in setting from the ancient times to modern-day geopolitics. (ANN)

Thoughts:

Chibis= yes<3

Butchering history=no

What a dilema. I think I'll end up watching this.

Thoughts:

It's shows like these and a few others this season where I'm reminded how much anime is based for male fans. I'll think about it, but is does that jumpsuit need to be that tight? Seriously?

SOOOOOO! that's the end! In terms of last season's anime, this is just soooo disappointing, but I guess you can't have prosperity 2 years in a row right? Let's look forward to spring, because I swear the show coming out are going to be uber awesome then. I'll provide a line up in a few weeks (after the start of the new season.) Look forward to it.
